Ingredients
  

Chicken Cheesesteak Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast thinly sliced
  • 1 hoagie rolls toasted
  • 4 slices provolone cheese or American cheese
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for sautéing
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add olive oil.
  • Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, sautéing until soft and caramelized, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and add the thinly sliced chicken to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the chicken, stirring frequently, until fully cooked and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Return the sautéed onions and peppers to the pan with the chicken. Mix well.
  • Place cheese slices on top of the chicken mixture and let them melt. Cover the pan for 1-2 minutes if needed.
  • Toast the hoagie rolls lightly, then fill them with the cheesy chicken mixture.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite side, such as fries or a fresh salad.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken with garlic and a splash of Worcestershire sauce before cooking.
