Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond meal coarse ground
  • 200 g dark chocolate 70% cocoa or higher, melted
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder sifted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt the dark chocolate and butter together using a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the eggs, stirring constantly to combine.
  • Fold in the almond meal, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt until well mixed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are set but the center is slightly gooey. Brownies will firm up as they cool.
  • Let cool completely before slicing into squares. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra richness, fold in chocolate chunks or nuts before baking. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dusting of powdered sugar.
