Ingredients
  

Salmon Patties

  • 1 can salmon 14 oz, drained
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/4 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • cooking oil for frying

Optional Add-Ins

  • 1 tsp garlic powder for extra flavor
  • 1 tsp hot sauce for spice
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the drained salmon, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, chopped onion, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Use a fork to mash the mixture together until well combined. The mixture should hold its shape when pressed.
  • Form the mixture into evenly sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • Serve warm with your favorite sides or dipping sauce.

Notes

For a healthier version, bake the patties at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or coleslaw for a complete meal.
